Medical Services
- Preventive Health: This includes regular physical exams, Screening blood work and tests. cancer screening as appropriate for age, sex and family history.
- Acute Care: Care of common and unexpected health issues. Patients are seen the same day or within one working day. We provide 24/7 on call coverage with Board certified Internists.
- Chronic care: Care of ongoing long term medical concerns e.g. Hypertension, Diabetes, Heart diseases etc
- Hospital Care: Our physicians follow their patients in the hospital. Dr. Sharma's patients are taken care of in the hospital by Dr. Bhargava
- GI Endoscopy: Upper GI endoscopy for evaluation of heartburn, abdominal pain, GI bleeding, etc.
- Capsule Endoscopy: Wireless video capsule endoscopy for evaluation of occult GI bleeding, suspected celiac sprue (gluten sensitivity) or inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's dsease or ulcerative colitis), unexplained iron deficiency anemia, suspected or known small bowel polyps or tumors, etc.
- Screening for Colon Cancer: Lower Gi endoscopy for routine colon cancer screening, evaluation of altered bowel habits, abdominal pain, GI bleeding, etc.
- Echocardiography: This is an ultrasound examination of the heart. It detects for abnomalities of the heart muscle and valves. It does not detect blockages in the arteries. The echo lab is ICAEL accredited
- Peripheral Arterial disease testing: This is a test to check for circulation in your arteries. The commonest symptom of lack of circulation in the arteries is cramping and pain when you walk.
- Memory testing: We perform a battery of tests to detect poor memory at an early stage.
- Impedance Cardiography: This is a test that detects pressures in your heart and blood vesseles and helps the physician optimise the functioning of your heart.
- Skin Cancer screening: Dr. Sharma does a head to toe exam looking for skin cnacer and precancerous lesions, abnormal moles. She is able to take care of 95% of problems detected in with office procedures.
- Photo dynamic therapy for Actinic Keratosis and Acne: This is a unique blue light treatment that treats Actinic Keratosis
- Peri operative Medical Consultation and care: This is a service provided by Dr. Kaufman and Bhargava. In collaboration with area surgeons, Anesthesiologist and Nurses, we provide consultative and medical care for patients undergoing surgery. We follow them in the hospital if needed.
- Pain management : Offering consultations and evaluations for both acute and chronic pain. Treatments offered include medical therapy, osteopathic treatment, trigger point injections, ligament injections, joint injections, prolotherapy and therapeutic excercises.
- Osteopathic Manipulation: Osteopathic manipulative treatment or OMT involves using the hands to diagnose, treat and prevent illness or injury. This is done through gentle movement of the muscles, joints, ligaments and connective tissue. There are various techniques used to achieve improvement in the way the body works.
OMT is often used to treat pain however it can be used for many other problems including tension and migraine headaches, sinus disorders, ear pain, asthma, COPD, pneumonia, menstrual pain, fibromyalgia, vertigo, skin infections and other medical problems.
