| Scope of Practice: |
Dr. Abraham is a board certified internist with a
subspecialty interest in Gastroentorology and non-invasive Cardiology.
He particularly enjoys taking care of complex and challenging medical
problems. He has received additional training in Gastroentorology and
noninvasive Cardiology and is proficient in procedures such as upper GI
endoscopy, colonoscopy, stress testing, echocardiography, etc. He is
proud to be the first in York county to offer wireless video capsule
endoscopy services. Other services offered include adult preventative
medicine and a wide range of internal medicine services such as care of
diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol problems, heart disease, respiratory
illnesses, liver problems (viral hepatitis) etc. He also offers other
internal medicine procedures such as paracentesis (removal of abdominal
fluid), thoracentesis (removal of fluid from the chest), spinal tap,
bone marrow biopsy, EKG and Holter interpretation, etc., most of which
can be performed in an outpatient setting. He and Becky work as a team
to ensure seamless care for his patients.
His practice philosophy involves treating
the patient as a whole rather than as a collection of medical problems.
Each patient is treated with respect and is given the time and attention
requisite to dealing with their various issues. Patient confidentiality
is strictly adhered to. Medical records are computer based and
therefore instantly and completely accessible. The practice is based in
a brand new state-of-the-art facility with a laboratory and with easy
access to Goodall Hospital via a connecting walkway. |
